Hey guys, guess what? Apple is having a huge event this coming Tuesday, May 7th, and we can’t wait! Starting at 7 am PT/10 am ET, CEO Tim Cook will spill the beans on Apple’s AI plans and introduce the first new iPads since 2022. Exciting stuff, right?
According to the Apple guru Mark Gurman, the event will only last 35 minutes, but we are expecting some big announcements. The new iPads will have OLED displays, including a fancy 12.9-inch iPad Air and the classic 10.9-inch model. Plus, there will be some cool new accessories to go along with them. It’s going to be epic!
Last year, Apple didn’t release any new iPad models at all, which has left us all dying for some new gadgets. Gurman gave us the scoop on what to expect: the ninth generation iPad with a home button, the tenth generation without one, a mini sixth generation with an 8.3-inch screen, the new M2-chipped iPad Air in 11-inch and 12.9-inch models, and the latest M4-chipped iPad Pro in 11-inch and 12.9-inch models.
The two new iPad Pro models are going to be next-level, with a front-facing camera moved to landscape orientation and powered by the super-smart M4 chip. And get this – the OLED displays mean there will be a price hike, but Apple is also releasing a new 12.9-inch iPad Air with an LCD display for those looking for a bigger screen without breaking the bank.
But that’s not all – there will be a new Magic Keyboard accessory to make your iPad Pro feel more like a laptop, with a new aluminum build. And the latest Apple Pencil will have some cool new features, like a squeeze gesture for adding stickers and signatures. Plus, it will support “Find My” and have changeable tips.
