Random Apple Pay Charges Affecting iPhone Users in Hungary – MacRumors

Hey, did you hear about the Apple Pay drama in Hungary? Apparently, people are getting charged out of the blue for stuff they didn’t even buy. Can you believe that? Some unlucky users are seeing a bunch of weird transactions on their accounts, and it seems like all the banks in Hungary are affected. Like, one guy had $1,500 taken from his account in 74 transactions! Crazy, right?

The banks are getting flooded with complaints, and everyone’s pointing fingers at Apple for this mess. OTP Bank even mentioned “massive, unjustified debits” happening at various banks. Raiffeisen Bank posted on their website that Apple is on it and trying to fix the problem. Well, let’s hope they sort it out soon because this is causing a lot of stress for people.

Some of the charges seem to be from old canceled subscriptions, and some match up with past transactions. Luckily, some customers were able to block their cards to stop any more charges. Phew, at least there’s a way to stop the madness.

Oh, and did you hear about the new stuff Apple released in iOS 18 Beta 2? They’re adding all sorts of cool features and making some changes to the interface. There’s still a bunch of tweaks to come before the final release in September. Can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us.

And get this – Apple also dropped a new firmware update for a bunch of products, including AirPods, AirPods Pro, and even AirPods Max. It’s like Christmas in June (or July, I guess). Gotta love those new updates, right?

Plus, Apple is rolling out Apple Intelligence with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. It’s this new AI thing that’s only available on the latest iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. So, if you want to get in on the action, you better upgrade your phone, buddy.

Finally, there’s been some chatter about the next Apple Watch models, a dope new Final Cut app for iPhone, and Apple’s Back to School promo kicking off in the US and Canada. It’s always nice to see what Apple has up their sleeve, right?

So, hang tight, folks. Hopefully, Apple will fix the Apple Pay mess soon, and we can all go back to enjoying our tech without any surprise charges. Stay tuned for more updates on all things Apple.
